Construction Management & General Contracting
As Construction Manager we are the
owners General Contractor. In today’s construction
industry the majority of work performed on projects is
through the subcontractor market place. Subcontractors
are specialists in their particular trades, and with the
efficiency and manpower allocation they bring cannot
typically be beat by in-house labor. Projects are
broken apart into individual trade disciplines that are
competitively bid through these markets. All
subcontractors and vendors are pre-qualified and only
those that meet the project standards are invited to
bid. We provide a competitive bid process and set a goal
of obtaining three bids for each trade discipline.
After receiving proposals we
perform comprehensive scope reviews along with a
tabulation of bid results. We share this information,
along with our letter of recommendation to award
individual subcontracts with ownership. This creates an
open book policy where the owner is encouraged to
participate. Allocation of cost is there for all
participants to comment and/or endorse prior to the
execution of subcontracts.
Subcontractors are placed under
contract with Farrar & Associates. This provides us, as
well as the owner, optimum project control. We provide
comprehensive on site supervision, project management
and executive management throughout the projects
development. Farrar & Associates is a successful fully
licensed and insured Construction Manager/General
Contractor with a proven track record of diversified
projects, including renovations, historical
restorations, new construction and executive residential
homes.
