Farrar & Associates constructed a new 16,000 sq. ft. parish house on the historic grounds of St. Mary’s Church in Portsmouth, RI.
This new facility will serve as the replacement to the existing 12,000 sq ft outdated facility. The new building includes classrooms, offices, a great room, meeting rooms, and a sanctuary. The building’s design incorporated authentic materials of field stone, red cedar shingles, and exposed structural steel. Green initiatives include SIMPS insulated structural panels, provisions for a wind turbine, and efficient HVAC systems.
